Currently most Wireless Doorbell on the market today are RF based technology, which only have the transmitting range up to few hundred meters, but this product is GSM based technology. Once the visitor pressed the Wireless Doorbell, the house owner will be able to answer and release the door lock through the mobile phone.

This Wireless Doorbell device contains five code components:

·         Micro-controller (Winbond W78E51B)

·         GSM-compatible wireless modem (Sony Ericsson GM29)

·         A ordinary GSM mobile phone

·         DTMF decoder chip (CM8870)

·         Two SIM cards for the mobile and modem

Once visitor pressed the Wireless Doorbell button, the micro-controller will send AT commands to operate the wireless modem. Then the modem will dial number to house owner's mobile. For that reason, the intercom function will be active while owner receiving the call and the owner will be able to remote door lock by simply pressing a key on the mobile. Once DTMF decoder detected the matched signal (correct button) the door will be released. Apart from this Wireless Doorbell have many other features which make them very useful and important.
